Furniture Sewing Technician

Madison Furniture is currently seeking skilled sewers/seamstresses to join our production team. Our ideal candidate will possess a strong sewing background preferably in the furniture/upholstery industry. We also welcome craftspeople with sewing machines proficiency, pattern comprehension, or an interest in developing these skills for a prospective career in the furniture manufacturing industry.

Daily Responsibilities:

Operate industrial sewing machines to assemble fabric products according to provided specifications.

Conduct quality inspections to uphold product standards, promptly rectifying any errors and seeking guidance when necessary.

Meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.

Maintain a safe and clean workplace, including regular machine and shop cleaning.

Adhere to established safety protocols.

Required Experience and Skills:

Prior experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred, although candidates with robust attention to detail, high standards, and a solid work ethic who have broad personal sewing experience will be considered.

Effective communication skills both verbal and written.

Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-oriented approach to completing required tasks.

Comfortable with repetitive tasks and extended periods of sitting.

Bilingual candidates (Spanish/English) are highly desired.

Schedule:

Full time position (8 hour shift) Monday to Friday

Summer hours (4/10) Monday to Thursday

Pay and Benefits

Wages $17.50 - $22.00 depending on experience (DOE)
