Summary: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our boat manufacturing facility team. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of machinery, equipment, and facilities to support production activities. In addition to general maintenance tasks, the ideal candidate will possess experience with welding machines, be forklift certified, have knowledge of building repairs, and have experience with snorkel lifts and scissor lifts.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.

2. Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

3. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, and hydraulic systems.

4. Proficiency in using hand and power tools for repair and maintenance tasks.

5. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

6. Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.

7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

9. Forklift certification with demonstrated proficiency in safe operation.

10. Experience with welding machines and techniques.

11. Familiarity with snorkel lifts and scissor lifts.

12. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or on-call as needed.

13. Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and lifting heavy objects.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment, including but not limited to lubrication, cleaning, and inspection.

2. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

3. Conduct preventive maintenance procedures to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.

4. Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems using hand and power tools.

5. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory tooling/consumables.

6. Collaborate with production personnel to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to manufacturing processes.

7. Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement or optimization.

8. Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

9. Assist in the installation, modification, or relocation of machinery and equipment as needed.

10. Provide training and guidance to other maintenance staff as required.

11. Perform welding tasks on machinery or equipment as needed.

12. Operate forklifts safely and efficiently for material handling tasks.

13. Conduct building repairs and maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, and structural repairs.

14. Utilize experience with snorkel lifts and scissor lifts for maintenance tasks and equipment positioning.

Work Schedule:

Daytime shift

4-10's, Monday - Thursday

6:00am - 4:30 pm

Weekend shift

3-12's, Friday - Sunday

6am - 6pm
