INTRODUCTION

We are seeking a skilled assistant, legal assistant, or administrator to join our Estate Planning team in the role of Assistant. This role is important as it models the firm’s purpose and values by providing excellent service and care to our clients.

As part of the Estate Planning team, you will provide excellent service and care to clients by supporting the team lead to move work accurately and efficiently through the team’s workflow process. Individuals with retail customer service experience are encouraged to apply. In addition to exceptional customer service, individuals who can multi-task, are curious and willing to learn, responsive to requests, and detail-oriented will excel on our team.

Our firm is a boutique estate planning and estate settlement law firm that aims to provide excellent service to both our team members and our clients. We believe that by thoughtfully taking care of our internal team we can better take care of our clients. Many of our team leaders have begun working at our firm in junior and entry level positions, such as this. From a technical standpoint, our work is about how to transfer property and financial resources thoughtfully and properly before and at a person’s death. From an emotional standpoint, our work focuses on helping our clients and community identify and focus on what is important in life.

WHAT DOES A TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE?

The Assistant role works in-person at our office in Vancouver. Responsibilities include:

 Professional communication with clients on the phone and in writing,

 Prepare charts, worksheets, and planning documents for initial review,

 Review documents with team lead or attorney and make revisions, as directed,

 Maintaining information in PracticePanther, our Client Relationship Management system,

 Participate in client meetings and notarize documents as needed,

 Administrative duties such as scanning, filing, building client binders, and mailings, and

 Providing support to our client service team as needed, which may be occasionally answering phones and greeting clients at our front desk.

HOURS & BENEFITS

 Full time in person,

 $20 to $25 an hour,
