Installer – Van Conversion Specialist
Location: Clackamas, Oregon Employment Type: Subcontractor (1099)
Hours & Pay Type: Flexible hours M-F 9-5. Flat Rate Pay (by project) with minimal hourly work depending on project. Position can be part-time to-full-time, depending on availability, desired income, skill level and performance. Annual earning potential $70-85k+, depending on speed, skill, quality, and hours worked.
Responsibilities:
· Install and customize our DIY kits and 3rd party van upfit components onto customer-supplied vans.
· Aptitude for reading and interpreting installation manuals, technical drawings, and standard operating procedures.
· Perform light metalworking, woodworking, and general fabrication.
· Work independently and follow high-quality installation standards with attention to detail, with the ability to adjust and communicate installation practices as needed.
· Operate and maintain an organized, safe, and clean workspace.
· Ensure attention to fit-and-finish and meet all quality standards and QC requirements.
Skills & Tools:
· Strong aptitude using a variety of tools—including drills, table saws, band saws, skill saws, jig saws, drill presses, grinders, Rivet-nut, and smaller hand tools.
· Precisely align and assemble prefab'd cabinetry, rail and bracket assemblies, ensuring parallel alignment and spacing, adjusting and fine-tuning cabinet doors and hinges.
· DC electrical and/or simple plumbing skill/experience desirable (not required).
Qualifications:
· Proven experience in fabrication, woodworking, metalworking, or similar trades.
· Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
· Ability to read and follow technical documentation and manuals.
· Competent and confident with safe operation of both power and hand tools.
· Independent problem-solver—takes initiative and works reliably in a team environment
· Clear communicator and collaborative team player.
· Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
· Basic computer skills required.
