Assembly Technician/Engineer

A 13+ year-old company in SE Portland is looking for a talented assembly technician/engineer. 15 - 40 hours per week to start, Monday through Friday, specific days and hours to be determined upon hire, must stick to schedule once set.

Primary Duties:

- Assemble and test machines we manufacture - visit MaxBP.com to learn about our machine

- Assembly involves using a screwdriver, drill, wrench, pliers

- Assembly and quality control involve applying stickers correctly and testing the product for accuracy and durability

- We sell a high-end product thus, you must be able to perform tasks with the highest level of accuracy

- All work must be documented

Work Duties May Also Include:

- Printing from computer to laser and label printers

- Packing/wrapping/sealing, boxing, and labeling shipments to customers and pallets to fulfillment centers

- Product testing/Quality control: examine products to confirm they meet company standards

- Complete and maintain all production records

- Report all problems and malfunctions

- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized working environment for all staff and personnel

Experience:

- Must be mechanically inclined and be comfortable using tools and light machinery.

Knowledge/Skills:

- Must have attention to detail. Our customers expect perfection

- Must be able to maintain a repetitive and consistent pace

- Excellent time management skills while working in a fast pace environment

- Must be a self-motivator

- Listens to guidance and instructions with high accuracy

- Mechanically proficient

- Willing to learn new skills and take feedback

- Basic computing skills for both Mac and PC.

- After completing a task, be able to effectively and efficiently clean up the area.

Pay:

- Depends on experience and part-time or full-time

- $22.50/hour to start, $25 after 90-day probationary period

- Raises based on performance

- Reviews every six months after the first 90-day review to end the probationary period.

- Quarterly bonuses for meeting goals.

Requirements:

- Have reliable transportation (Easily accessible by bus lines 17 or 10)

- Must be comfortable working in a hot and cold environment

- Pass drug screen and background check

- Must be able to read, write and speak English

- Must be able to multi-task using necessary math skills and auditing paperwork

- Must be able to work overtime and on weekends if necessary

- Timeliness, quality, and punctuality are mandatory. This includes following all rules and regulations, including safety, attendance, breaks, etc. established by management.

- Ability to perform under pressure.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, and reach with hands and arms and perform light lifting duties without assistance.
