Mt. Scott RCF is a 45 bed residential care home in SE Portland, privately owed and operated by Dennis Murphy since 1989. Mt. Scott serves a very unique and diverse community with ages ranging from young 40's to young 80's, each individuals needs are tailored to meet personal prefrences. The population we serve is a special population, we serve those whom have had unsuccessful history of prior placements in other care settings, an tend to thrive at Mt. Scott, with many of our residents aging in place. Mt. Scott Residential Care Facility in Portland, OR is looking for one med trained caregiver to join our 22 person strong team. We are located on 8014 Se Lambert St. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and hard-working.BenefitsWe offer many great benefits, including free early access to your pay through Homebase.Responsibilities· Assist residents with ADL’s including but not limited to, bathing, oral care, meals, dressing, hair care, and recreational activities.· Provide emotional support and recreational activities.· Carry out treatments as prescribed by a physician or nurse practitioner including accurate administration and recording of medication.· Maintain a safe and clean environment including, but limited to; sweeping, mopping, dusting, and assisting residents in their personal areas.· Promptly report all safety hazards in writing to administration.· Communicate with Administration regarding, residents' need, changes in physical, mental behavioral status and complaints as they occur.· Maintain resident’s laundry and facility laundry.· Consistently communicate with residents, staff, families and visitors in a positive manner.· Access listed ancillary support services including; physicians, mental health services, fire and safety personnel, with minimum supervision. · Protect resident rights including confidentiality both in the facility and during off-duty hours.· Complete all other duties as assigned by management.Qualifications· Experience working in the health field for a minimum of 6 months in a single structured job site. Documented training such as CAN/CMA certification course work in geriatrics, mental health, and experience with varied populations (mentally ill, aged, chronically ill) preferred.· Ability to read write and understand English.· Ability to follow instructions and work independently.· Ability to do heavy lifting, bending reaching, and be on your feet (standing, walking) for prolonged periods of time.· Ability to work all scheduled hours, including all shifts, weekends, holidays, and rotating schedules.We are looking forward to hearing from you.
