Caregiver opportunity for night shift in our SW Portland Adult Care Home Monday - Wednesday 8pm-6am
Job requirements include:
Have a great work ethic.
Be able to take direction and work well with others.
Be in good physical condition (must be able to lift 50lbs to help transfer and turn residents in bed when needed).
Possess the personality traits of patience, kindness, respect, reliability, trustworthiness, self-discipline, and integrity.
Enjoy engaging with the residents through conversation and companionship.
Ability to follow a Person-Centered care model ensuring a focus on the resident’s capabilities and independence.
Ability to assist people who may be dependent in 4 or more activities of daily living including: toileting, bathing, dressing, hygiene, eating, and behavior management in a safe manner for both you and the resident.
Ability to document facility records.
Ability to follow the resident’s care plans to ensure the resident’s needs and wants are being met.
Have reliable transportation.
Have the ability to read, write and speak English.
Have the ability to communicate effectively with the residents, staff, family and healthcare professionals.
Be able to pass a criminal records background check.
CPR/First Aid Certified within 30 days of hire.
1-2 years caregiving experience required. We thoroughly train new staff to ensure the resident's exceptional care stays the same .
