We are seeking to fill a full-time Pastry Manager position, at our dedicated Gluten-Free Bakery Cafe.

We are a dedicated gluten-free bakery that makes artisan pastries, cakes, cookies, doughnuts, muffins and more. We are hiring a motivated pastry chef who is looking for a rewarding position working in our bakery and who has a desire to lead a talented team.

This is a great opportunity for a creative, team oriented person who is interested in bringing their talents and ambitions for gluten-free baking to the Portland community. Responsibilities will include:

All aspects of pastry production and bake off.

Creativity in developing/improving the menu

Maintaining a safe, clean and organized work environment, upholding all ODA/FDA and health department regulations.

proper inventory controls and rotation.

ordering and receiving ingredients/supplies.

Executing fulfillment of all customer orders.

Excellent communication with co-workers and ability to get along with others.

assisting with schedules, project management

The successful candidates must be or have:

.willingness to work a flexible schedule with ability to work Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays if required.

.able to repeatedly lift 60 pounds, do repetitive work, and be on your feet for long periods of time

.have 2 years of professional kitchen experience or culinary school experience

Historically, this schedule has been 4 shifts at 10 hours each and early mornings (General start time is 5:30/6:00 AM on Saturdays, 6:00 AM the rest of the week) with exceptions around the fall/winter holidays.

Compensation: depends on experience, however, competitive salary will be discussed at interview.
