Full Charge Bookkeeper

Description We are seeking a diligent and reliable Part Time Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Portland, Maine. This role involves performing regular bookkeeping tasks, managing financial documentation, and assisting with budgeting and financial planning activities. As a Full Charge Bookkeeper, you will be pivotal in maintaining our financial records and ensuring our company's financial operations run smoothly.Responsibilities: Execute regular bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries. Code purchase and bank transactions for accurate and timely reporting. Prepare client invoices and ensure vendor invoices are paid promptly. Gather information and prepare necessary financial forms, such as 1099 forms. Manage and organize financial documentation, including W9s, certificates of insurance, tax-exempt forms from customers and vendors. Set up customers and projects in QuickBooks Online. Generate standard or custom reports from QuickBooks for management. Assist with budgeting and financial planning activities as needed. Provide optimization recommendations to improve the company's financial efficiency.
