Electrical engineering experience operating in the capacity of an on site project engineer providing support to client and on site contracts while acting as the electrical POC and subject matter expert.

Projects: Design and project engineering experience on 13.8kv to 480v power distribution breakers and designing and troubleshooting MCC (motor control centers) 480 volt level design and investigating a PLC wiring diagram ideally supporting a pulp and paper project or similar industrial project types.

Motor control center responsibilities will include being able to understand and design and troubleshoot motor control systems and respond to managing the operations once power is turned back on from planned power shut down. Electrical equipment and motor specifications and procurement knowledge is required.

When on site they will be doing as-builds and researching the design in the field and perform investigations, collect data to be able to perform the design changes for the purpose of retrofits, maintenance upgrades and capital projects pertaining to the power delivery infrastructure of the site.

Must be a strong team collaborator and strong communication skills. Will be interacting with clients and maintain a professional presentation and represent client as a positive ambassador.

Must be able to anticipate, plan and coordinate outage plans for power shut downs on the plant and ability to address issues with the operating and power systems and plan for issues to be addressed one power is back on.

This role will be reporting to the Director of Electrical and Controls Engineering and operating as the onsite project engineer taking delegation from the director on day to day/week to week project engineering responsibilities basis.

Work schedule right now will require individual to be on sight full time in Long View, WA.

Skills:Project engineering, power distribution, substation, electrical design, electrical engineering, outage management, plant outage, nfpa 70e, substation design, EasyPower, etap, SKM, relay protection, power distribution design, cable tray, motor control center, wiring diagram, pulp & paper, pulp and paper, plant utilitiesAdditional Skills & Qualifications:

ETAP and SKM and EasyPower - software used for arc flash, and short circuit analysis and relay protection would be desired, but not required.

Microsoft Office suite: Must be very efficient with Excel creating formulas and tables. Technical writing is critical as well.

Experience working on pulp and paper plants is highly preferred, but not required.

Experience working with high voltage (HV) systems in heavy industrial environments with regulated safety environments.

BSEE degree in Electrical Engineer

AutoCAD is a plus but not required

NEC code knowledge - NFPA 70E
