Clark Regional Wastewater District is seeking an experienced Assistant Engineering Technician!
Ideal candidate will have the following:
o High school diploma or equivalent.
o Two years of post-secondary education/training or relevant experience in civil engineering, construction, surveying, drafting or a similar field preferred.
o Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
o Ability to read and understand maps, construction drawings, and specifications, both paper copy and electronic format (PDF, GIS).
o Ability to apply mathematics to interpret data from record drawings, construction drawings, and maps.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Ability to communicate technical information and processes to non-technical audiences.
o Ability to effectively communicate with the public, co-workers, supervisors and subordinates.
o Strong organizational skills.
o Ability to understand and follow directions, effectively adjust to changing priorities, problem solve and multi-task, be decisive in taking actions.
o Ability to maintain a professional and respectful working environment.
o Possesses a valid driver’s license with good driving record.
o Ability to pass pre-employment physical including the ability to lift 40 pounds.
o Ability to work in the field in an active construction environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
o Customer Service
o Project administration
o Data processing and reporting
o Occasional inspection services
o Review construction plans for extending sanitary sewer
Monthly salary range: $4,905 to $6,412
Starting monthly salary (DOQ): $4,905 to $5,608
