Nuestra Escuela Early Childhood Are looking for infant or preschool teacher. We strongly believe that every child is unique and different, we focus on teaching being intentional and focused on the needs of children. Early childhood is the most important stage of your life for your entire future. We are proud to say that we are inspired by the Montessori philosophy and bilingual in Spanish

THE JOB/IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for a passionate individual who is caring, dependable flexibility, positive attitude. They will be highly experienced in caring for infants and/or toddlers in a structured setting, however. If you speak Spanish, it would be ideal (but not required) A strong candidate for this position believes in play- and child-directed learning, practices respectful communication toward children, trusts in children’s natural development, and is willing to learn and reflect as an educator. Additionally, this person is able to support children through conflict resolution and is comfortable with big emotions as a natural part of early childhood development.

JOB DUTIES:

Supervising children

Setting up and maintaining play spaces

Providing social-emotional support, conducting observation and assessment.

Completing diaper changes/supporting potty training.

Communicating with team and families.

Maintain a clean and safe environment for the children.

Adhere to a daily schedule that provides the following:

Structure and developing and maintaining a schedule of events

Indoor and Outdoor playtime

Learning through play for appropriate cognitive development

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:

Completion of a satisfactory background investigation prior to hire.

A passion for working with children and actively participating in their playtime.

Experience in play-based learning and social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Background in creating and participating in hands-on activities for young children.

Be in step 7 on the ORO record

DESIRED:

Child Development Associate (CDA)

First aid certification

Extensive knowledge of early childhood development

Experience in a structured daycare or school setting is ideal
