Small community preschool seeking a part time or full-time lead co-teacher who will work alongside director/co-teacher with 39 years experience for the 2024-25 school year.

In addition to all DEL (Department of Early Learning) lead-teacher licensing requirements, applicant must have three years' early childhood teaching experience and have a genuine love for children and respect them as individuals.
Hours: full day (8am-3pm) or part day (8:30am-12:30pm). Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
Monday - Friday or Monday - Wednesday with school calendar vacations and possibility of summer session
DEL Requirements:
ECE certificate or equivalent qualifications
Be at least 18 years or age
Must have a DEL Background check
Infant/child CPR and First Aid Certification
Bloodborne Pathogen/ HIV & AIDS training
Child abuse, neglect/ exploitation training
Food handler card
20 Hours of STARRS (with an additional 10 hours each year)/ complete within 6 months of hire and 4 mandated DCYF trainings
TB test completed, MMR records
The Gan is a Jewish preschool. Applicants do not need to be Jewish to apply. Jewish instruction is provided by the program manager.
Must be fit for duty physically and mentally. Using proper lifting techniques, must be able to lift and hold children up to 40 pounds. Willing and able to stoop, kneel and bend in order to play with children, to speak to children at the child’s eye level, pick up toys and equipment from the floor. Must be able to evacuate children in case of an emergency.
