Live-in caregiver/manager needed for an Adult Foster Home (AFH) for adults with mental illnesses. This is a level 1 AFH for high functioning adults. This is not an AFH for Seniors or Developmentally Disabled adults. The AFH is a very nice and fully furnished home. This position is ideal for a single individual or a couple who are in a position to move in.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Cooking and cleaning for 5 high functioning adults with mental illness
Managing and administering medications
Record keeping
Arranging, facilitating, or attending medical appointments
Providing supervision and support for adults with mental illness
REQUIREMENTS (first 4 can be done with our help and may occur after initial interview):
Criminal background check through JCMH
Pass the Adult Foster Care Basic Training exam
Current 1st Aid and CPR certification
Physicians approval for physical and mental fitness
Must be at least 21 yrs old
Caregiving experience or education/training in mental health/social work
Provide your own transportation
Start as soon as above items are complete
