Redmond Speech & Language is seeking a Front Desk Office Receptionist with an upbeat personality and outstanding customer service skills for a part-time or full-time position.
Redmond Speech & Language has thriving speech therapy clinics in Bend, Redmond, and Prineville. We want to add a member to our team who will engage with our goals to support families in Central Oregon with communication, cognition, and feeding/swallowing needs.

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Customer service focused with an ability to patiently manage multiple needs at once
- Highly organized with the capacity to work independently to prioritize daily tasks
- Computer and tech savvy
- Excellent people skills with the desire to go above and beyond for our patients
- Comfortable answering phones and making calls to patients
- Initiative to improve systems and bring new ideas to increase office efficiency
- Typing Skills: 35 wpm minimum
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of medical terminology, experience in a medical office and/or knowledge of OHP and medical insurance processes
- Experience with electronic health record systems
- Experience in a medical office setting preferred, but not required
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients in the office and on the phone
- Efficiently relay messages to therapists and administrators as needed
- Manage providers’ schedules and maintain standby appointment waitlist
- Verify and explains patient insurance coverage
- Collect and post copays and account payments
- Obtain new patient records and required office forms
- Verify/update patient contact and insurance information in our EHR
- Communicate with referral sources and complete records requests
- Limited back-office support: assisting our therapists, restocking supplies, etc.
- Ensure reception area and waiting room are clean and neat
