Location: Bend

Compensation: $23.80/hour (plus $0.50/hour for bilingual Spanish)

Hours: Regular full-time (40 hours/week)

Benefits: 100% premium paid Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance, Agency paid Retirement plan (up to 6%), almost 2 weeks of vacation time accrued in your first year, plus 14 paid Holidays annually, and separate sick leave accrual

NeighborImpact Housing Overview

NeighborImpact's Housing program offers crucial assistance to individuals and families in need within Crook, Deschutes, and Jefferson counties, as well as the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs. The program can provide eviction prevention and deposit assistance, prioritizing applications based on need rather than a first-come, first-served basis.

Overview of Key Duties and Responsibilities:

The Rental Assistance Specialist role is responsible for assisting and supporting the Housing Related Service Needs (HRSN) Rental Assistance Program. Key duties include effective communication with clients and landlords, scheduling and completing client assessments, collecting necessary documents for rental and utility payments, and maintaining payment tracking records. Additionally, the role involves providing short-term resource navigation support to clients. A demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations while promoting cultural responsiveness and equity is essential. The position requires interaction with clients, property owners, partners, and is an onsite, in-office role.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

High School diploma or GED required

Required prior to date of hire and throughout employment:

o Valid driver’s license

o Proof of current auto insurance

o Access to reliable transportation

o Satisfactory criminal background check

Preferred

Associate’s degree in related field or equivalent preferred

Advanced proficiency communicating in Spanish, both speaking and writing preferred

Intermediate proficiency with computer and phone systems including MS Office programs, email, voicemail and office equipment preferred

On the job experience in customer service preferred
