We enable manufacturing companies to optimize their quality control systems to ensure they output the highest quality goods. MicroRidge products are used in the automotive, aerospace, agricultural, semi-conductor, chemical, plastics, metals, and general manufacturing industries to increase quality control efficiency and accuracy. We are looking to hire an electronic assembly technician that will be a key member of our production team.

Position Goal:

Support the production process by performing checkout, soldering, assembly, prep, and packaging of components and products as assigned. Perform all duties assigned in the production process, in addition to inspecting your work for quality during the assembly process through checkout. Maintain quality standards, demonstrate, and perform production standards, and provide ongoing feedback to the Production Manager.

Applicant must have soldering experience in an electronics environment or show the ability to quickly learn. A soldering and wire/cable assembly test will be administered as part of the hiring process.

Production Responsibilities:

- Solder surface-mount electronic components on circuit boards.

- Solder through-hole components on circuit boards.

- Solder connectors on circuit boards.

- Recognize and correct common errors, including insufficient solder, solder bridges or shorts, cold solder joints, and

too much solder on through-hole and surface mount components on boards.

- Follow documentation and maintain testing, diagnostic, and assembly procedures as directed by the Production

Manager.

- Assemble and check out cables, footswitches, and finished products using a PC-based communications test program

and ensure that all product checkout meets production and quality standards.

- Install circuit boards in product enclosures.

- Assemble product enclosures.

- Tasks will often involve, but not be limited to, the drill press, arbor press, and belt sander.

Inventory Responsibilities:

- Flag parts for reorder.

- Restock shelf bins from overflow.

- Assist in inventory.

- Check in received parts.

Quality Control Responsibilities:

- Perform continuous inspection for quality checks on products that you assemble.

- Assist in identifying areas where quality can be improved.

- Verify the quantity and quality of your work.

Communications

- Maintain effective, clear communications with the Production Manager.

- Take the initiative (with Production Manager approval) to organize areas of responsibility, meet deadlines, and

identify and report results and areas of concern.

- Follow instructions from the Production Manager.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Experience Required:

- High School Diploma or equivalent required.

- 1-3 years of electronics assembly preferred.

- Basic understandings of electronics manufacturing including soldering, cable manufacturing/assembly, and PCB

assembly.

Position Information

- Expected hours: Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Friday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

- 2 Weeks PTO + Holidays

- Onsite position

- Full Time - Part Time Available, Hourly

- Pay: $22 / Hour
