Job Type: Part-time Tues-Sat mostly days + special event evenings

Expected hours: 20-30 per week, more depending on events.

Flights offers bottle sales, BTG, and weekly wine flights along with small plates and a full dinner menu. Our wines & menu will change often as we help our customers explore and discover new styles and regions. We have a cozy, comfortable atmosphere where our customers can relax and unwind. We offer wine training, events and classes to both staff and customers.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Preparation, design, and execution of all special event menus being mindful of wine pairings.
Prep cooking, some line cooking and executing special events.
Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen/dining room including but not limited to tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, utensils, range burners, ovens, flat top range, refrigeration equipment, floors, etc.
Ensure the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets company quality standards
Cost out & test recipes before launch.
Monthly Inventory and costing of prepped foods.
Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately in accordance with budgetary requirements
Check, enter and put away stock orders
Maintain the highest level of positive approach and professionalism with coworkers and customers
To follow all policies and ensure that any staff is doing the same
Required Skills/Abilities:
Understanding and proficiency of various cooking methods, cuisines, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
Understanding of and commitment to a professional appearance and positive attitude
Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
Preferred Education and Experience:
2+ years in professional, food production or catering, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
Culinary degree is a plus
Must hold valid managers level sanitation certification or complete before start date.
