We are seeking a trustworthy, detail-oriented Bread Baker to join our team in Sisters, Oregon. This is a part-time position with the opportunity to grow into additional hours and responsibilities over time.
About the Role
As a baker at Leaven & Love, you’ll help craft our signature gluten-free sourdough loaves and baked goods using high-quality, whole food ingredients. This role requires attention to detail, consistency, a strong work ethic, and a passion for quality.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and prepare daily and weekly production based on orders
Weigh, mix, and shape gluten-free dough with precision
Bake, cool, and package bread and baked goods
Monitor and report ingredient inventory
Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workspace
Occasionally deliver bread to local accounts (mileage reimbursed)
Communicate clearly and promptly with owners and team
Support kitchen flow with additional tasks as needed
Availability
Approx. 15–20 hours/week, Monday through Friday
Start time and schedule will be set upon hire
Who You Are
Rooted in Central Oregon and planning to stay for at least 12 months
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Physically able to lift 50–55 lbs
Experienced in food service or kitchen production
Familiar with kitchen equipment (mixers, ovens, scales, etc.)
Knowledgeable about food safety practices
Holds a current Oregon Food Handler’s Card (or willing to obtain upon hire)
Has reliable transportation and a cell phone
Compensation
Starting at $18/hour, DOE
