Blacksteer Steakhouse & Saloon has now opened for lunch with expanded hours and are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to help with the day to day operations!
The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining quality standards, and leading the team to achieve business goals. This role involves supervising staff, managing inventory, handling customer inquiries, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management: Assist in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
Staff Supervision & Training: Support hiring, training, and managing restaurant staff to maintain high service standards.
Customer Service: Address customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests to enhance guest satisfaction.
Inventory & Cost Control: Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory to minimize waste and control costs.
Quality & Compliance: Ensure food quality, hygiene, and safety standards are met per regulations and company policies.
Marketing & Promotions: Support promotional activities and events to increase customer engagement and sales.
Team Leadership: Motivate and coach team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality
Strong leadership and communication skills
Customer service-oriented with problem-solving abilities
Knowledge of food safety regulations and restaurant operations
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Basic Open Table and POS system knowledge is a plus
