The Cross-Eyed Cricket is hiring a Bar Manager!
We are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our management team. This individual needs to have a solid understanding of bar operations and outstanding customer service skills. This position will be dual purposed in both management of bar operations and ability to work a busy well during peak periods.
historically this position has paid $80,000-$100,000 plus annually.
Qualifications for this position are as follows
3-5 years bar manager experience.
Ability to develop and follow systems.
Experience managing pour cost
Experience with ordering liquor, wine, beer and supplies
Inventory management
Hiring/Training/Scheduling staff
Experience building and managing a bar program
Developing seasonal cocktail menus as well as wine, beer and N/A programs
Knowledge of computers (MS Word, Excel)
Ability to make decisions, solve problems and lead a FOH team
Health and safety practices and high standards with high attention to detail.
Have excellent time management.
Emphasis on a positive culture, incorporating proven systems and implementation of SOP's.
Leadership traits include honesty, strong work ethic and an overall moral integrity with a hands-on management style.

Responsibilities
-Control purchases and inventory by meeting with GM and reviewing and evaluating usage reports; taking corrective actions.
-Maintain operations by preparing policies and standard operating procedures; implementing production, productivity, quality, and guest-service standards; determining and implementing system improvements.
-Maintain guest satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing beverage, and service standards. Initiating improvements and building relationships with guests
-Staff recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining staff; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation; enforcing policies and procedures
-Manage shifts which include: daily decision making, scheduling and planning
-Provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues
-Interview hourly employees. Supervision, development and, when necessary, termination of employees
-Conduct orientation, explain the culture/ philosophy, and oversee the training of new employees
-Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback, establishing performance expectations and by conducting performance reviews
-Maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of bar staffing needs. Prepare schedules and ensure that the bar is staffed for all shifts. standards, product quality and cleanliness.
