JOB TITLE: Cashier with Food Service Experience
SHIFT SCHEDULE: FULL-TIME and PART-TIME
DEPT/LOCATION: REDMOND, OR 97756
REPORTS TO: RETAIL STORE MANAGER
The Customer Service Associate (CSA) provides prompt, efficient, courteous, quality customer service. This includes operating a cash register, greeting customers, assisting with fuel dispensers, cash handling, light janitorial duties, and other duties as assigned.
Sandwich Artists are responsible for preparing and serving sandwiches to customers, maintaining cleanliness in the food preparation area, and delivering excellent customer service.
Provide friendly service to customers
Greet and assist customers
Operate cash register to enter a convenience store and gasoline purchases (assistance will be available if needed)
Account for all monies, cigarettes, and lottery tickets on assigned shift
Check the expiration date and face-off product
Follow proper safety protocols and procedures
Prepare sandwiches according to customers’ preferences and the menu’s specifications
Ensure ingredients are fresh and stock levels are adequate
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the food preparation area
Handle cash transactions or process credit card payments
Offer suggestions for combinations of ingredients or upsell additional items to customers
Check and record food temperatures to ensure safety and quality standards
REQUIREMENTS FOR CASHIERS:
Must be flexible to work various schedules such as weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
Must have the ability to handle money accurately
Must have strong attention to detail
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must have excellent customer service skills
Must be capable of effectively communicating with customers and co-workers
Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated
Must be able to do simple math such as counting, recording, addition, subtraction, and multiplication
Previous food service experience preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift
Regularly lift and or move up to 20-50 pounds
Must be comfortable working in a convenience store environment
Must maintain a professional appearance and abide by the Dress Code Policy
Must maintain a professional and friendly demeanor toward customers and fellow employees
Daily exposure to gasoline and oil products
Fast-paced environment
Great at Multi-Tasking
Pay Rate = $17.00 hourly
