Become a part of our caring community and help us put health firstA Senior Business Intelligence Engineer in CPSS Data & Analytics – BI (Business Intelligence) works with Directors and Managers of an assigned Operational area supporting Medicare Enrollments and has detailed knowledge of all the data sources used to support that area. They seek out new data sources as needed and learn the Business processes so they can better provide elegant solutions to address operational needs. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer uses the aforementioned data and business knowledge to solve complex business problems and provide insight to decision-makers. They have the technical breadth of knowledge that allows them to design the tools, technologies, applications, and practices used to collect, integrate, analyze, and present an organization's raw data in order to create insightful and actionable business information.The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer is responsible for prioritization and communication around the book of work for their Operational area. The work is moderately complex to complex, can be ambiguous at times, and requires the ability to work with limited guidance from their leader. They are empowered to make decisions, and their opinions carry considerable weight with their clients. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer also collaborates with their data peers within Membership & Plan Services, RSO, Big Data, etc. to drive best practices across the company.

Develops and maintains robust T-SQL queries and stored procedures

Designs and implements scalable data models to support business intelligence and analytics requirements

Utilizes Power Platforms (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) to create interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations

Collaborates with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into technical specifications

Performs data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business performance improvements

Presents findings and recommendations to leadership in a clear and concise manner

Mentors junior team members and provide technical guidance and support as needed

Use your skills to make an impactRequired Qualifications

5 or more years of strong Data Analytics experience

5 or more years of technical experience in SQL with advanced experience in T-SQL and SSIS

Experience in the development of interactive reports using Power BI, SSRS, Qlik, Tableau and/or similar product

Intermediate skills in Power Apps and Power Automate

Advanced data analytics skills and reporting experience to include working with large complex data sets within large organizations

Expertise in Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel, Access, and/or PowerPoint

Proficiency in verbal and written communication to senior and executive leadership

Proven experience with consulting with and building relationships with business partners

Critical thinker who can anticipate team needs and take initiative to present ideas, ask the right questions and deliver the highest quality work

Self-starter that can work independently with minimal direction and takes ownership and anticipates future consequences and trends accurately

Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to non-technical professionals

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field

Experience working with Medicare Enrollment data

Prior or recent experience in conducting forecasting or trend analysis

Process Improvement methodology experience or Agile methodology experience

Experience creating and maintaining SSIS packages

Process documentation and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) experience

Experience creating Stored Procedures

Knowledge of Azure Dev Ops

Knowledge of Data Bricks, Data Lakes or Snowflake

Scheduled Weekly Hours40Pay RangeThe compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$89,000 - $121,400 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
