ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPSA Revenue Cycle Analyst III is a member of the Revenue Cycle Management team, a division of the Customer Service department at the Central Business Office. The Customer Service department is part of the larger Revenue Cycle department.POSITION SUMMARYThe Revenue Cycle Analyst III provides strategic support for the ProMedica Central Business Office by managing and completing projects, analyzing, and reporting revenue cycle data, and configuring financial systems.ACCOUNTABILITIES Collaborates with revenue cycle staff and leadership to prioritize business and

information needs

Supports the entire revenue cycle division with analysis by producing accurate reports and interpretation

Monitors performance trends and identifies opportunities to improve financials and reduce rework

Recommends operational workflow improvements, helps develop workplans and track progress

Provides data support for cross-functional workgroups formed to reduce denials and avoidable write-offs

Researches and summarizes large volumes of data to produce meaningful results

Conducts meetings and prepares presentations to share data findings and ideas

Assists leadership in managing revenue cycle vendor relationships including invoice review and payment, performance management, contract monitoring, and strategy

Collaborates with team and other revenue cycle departments to improve denials, avoidable write-offs, and vendor management division-wide initiatives

Transfers knowledge and/or trains employees in the operation of information systems as needed

Performs other duties as assigned Location: Remote

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Bachelor’s degreeSkills: Must have exemplary organizational skillsMust have MS Office advanced proficiencyMust have working knowledge of healthcare revenue cycleExperience: 3+ years in revenue cycle or similar work experienceMust reside within EST or Central time zone. License: N/ACertification: N/APREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Master’s degree in business, IT, or related field or bachelors plus related experienceExperience: 4+ years in revenue cycle or similar work experienceAdvanced data analysis skills Demonstrates analytical, quantitative, evaluative, and problem-solving skills Proficient with SQL, Business Objects, SAS, or other query tool beyond canned reports Experience building dashboards with Epic SlicerDicer, Tableau, or similar tool Experience interpreting financial metrics and identifying risks and trends Experience presenting charts and graphs to management audience Familiar with broad range of revenue cycle metrics from registration through collections Experience troubleshooting data integrity issues like missing/duplicated records and reconciling sourcesAbility to set priorities according to ROI and multi-task in a challenging environmentProject management experienceEffective communication and interpersonal skillsExperience working independentlyExperience working directly with vendors/third partiesExperience building revenue cycle system rules like claim editsAbility to adapt to change quickly and think conceptuallyAdvanced knowledge of the hospital and physician revenue cycles: scheduling, registration, authorization, coding, charging, billing, follow-up, remittance, patient collections, charity, etc.Experience optimizing workflows through people/process changes, IT rule changes or implementation of new technologiesInsurance contract modeling experience a plusEpic, FHFMA, CHFP, CRCR or similar certifications a plusKnowledge of medical terminology and coding methodologies including HCPC, CPT, ICD-10, DRGStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentMust be able to move about office and between workstationsMust be able to occasionally lift, move and carry up to 20lbs of materialsWORKING CONDITIONSPersonal Protective Equipment: N/APhysical Demands: Typical sitting, standing, typing, lifting associated with a basic office environment.Salary Range: $47,840-$126,880 ProMedica is a mission-based, not-for-profit integrated healthcare organizational headquartered in Toledo, Ohio.
