Need OH IS or Education Unlimited License The Intervention Specialist provides services tochildren with a variety of developmental disabilities or delays. The Early Intervention Specialist works withchildren in a variety of settings to help implement personalized focused treatmentprograms to increase positive outcomes and independence. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Supports children and their families with developmentaldisabilities, mental health or behavioral disorders, etc.

Conducts referrals, intakes, and screening relatedactivities

Carries out therapist-prescribed interventions

Assists with physical and motor skills development

Assesses delays with cognitive, adaptive, social/ emotionalskills and communication skills

Provides administration and scoring of development usingappropriate assessment tools

Provides service coordination activities

Works in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team todevelop and implement goals and objectives

Participates in evaluation/assessment process asapplicable

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university preferred

Valid state teaching certificate or early childhood educationas required by state regulations and/or contract

One year experience as an Early Intervention Specialistpreferred

Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice

Participation and completion of Amergis’ Competency programwhen applicable

Current CPR if applicable

TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

Successful completion of new hire training as applicable tojob site

Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAArequirements

Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to andfrom appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors,co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the Englishlanguage is required

Computer proficiency required

Must be at least 18 years of age
