PPS is seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector for our full-service metal fabrication and manufacturing facility in Bedford. This is a full-time permanent Direct Hire role with a highly competitive salary, benefits, and high ceiling for growth!
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough inspections of manufactured products to ensure they meet company standards and customer expectations
Read blueprints, schematics, or drawings to ensure products meet customer specs
Perform quality testing on products using precision measurement instruments, hand tools, and the like
Inspect incoming raw materials, in-process products, and final product for defects
Ability to recognize defects and deviations and recommend repair or discard
Notate defects and effectively communicate issues with other departments
Work closely with other departments to improve the manufacturing processes and meet quality assurance goals
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
Quality Control, Inspection, and Quality Management skills
Excellent communication skills to work with other departments
Attention to detail and ability to identify defects and discrepancies
Experience in a metal fabrication or similar manufacturing environment
ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or equivalent certification is preferred
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality management systems
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
