As a Research Student, you will work closely with research personnel and actively participate in a structured learning experience in a laboratory or clinical research setting. You'll quickly gain hands-on experience in laboratory techniques, clinical settings, data collection and analysis as well as other related skills to explore careers in biomedical and clinical research.The ideal future caregiver is someone who:

Has been accepted or is enrolled in an accredited college or university as an undergraduate student.

Demonstrates a strong work ethic.

Is eager to learn and receive feedback.

Has decisive judgement and excellent critical thinking skills.

Under direct supervision, student may conduct research in the laboratories and/or clinical setting

Under direct supervision, student may perform data collection and analysis.

Other duties as assigned.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Must be accepted/enrolled in an accredited college or university as an undergraduate student.

This position is NOT applicable to anyone who has completed all requirements for an undergraduate degree/diploma.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Complexity of Work:

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Work Experience:

None required.

Students with previous research laboratory experience are often preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Normal physical requirements include good near visual acuity and color acuity.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
