Payroll Clerk

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Customer Service Clerk for the Payroll Department in Cleveland, Ohio. This role operates within the finance industry and involves key interactions with clients, focusing primarily on handling payroll customer service-related tasks and inquiries. The role expands beyond mere data entry and true payroll processing, requiring a strong sense of responsibility and initiative. Responsibilities: Handle client follow-ups and respond to emails in a timely manner Understand and interpret numerical data effectively Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications Maintain and update customer credit records diligently Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary Utilize MS Office tools, particularly Excel, to manage and organize data Ensure dependability and reliability in handling confidential client information Think independently and make sound decisions when required Handle other payroll-related duties as needed.Requirements Demonstrated experience with Data Entry tasks High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field is a plus Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
