Accounting Clerk

Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in CLEVELAND, Ohio. This role is situated in the industry of finance and accounting, with a focus on managing various accounts and ensuring accurate financial records. The workplace is a fast-paced environment where efficiency and attention to detail are paramount.Responsibilities: Accurately process accounts payable and accounts receivable in a timely manner. Perform account reconciliation to ensure correct balances. Handle check deposits and ensure they are correctly recorded and accounted for. Maintain and update customer credit records for reference and future transactions. Resolve any customer inquiries related to their accounts or transactions. Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action for any discrepancies or issues. Ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date. Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline processes and procedures. Adhere to all financial policies and regulations in all tasks. Assist in other accounting tasks as needed. Requirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management Experience with Check Deposit procedures Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work Excellent organizational and multitasking skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite Basic understanding of financial principles and practices Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred) Previous experience in an accounting role (preferred) Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
