Medical Billing Specialist

Description We are in search of a detail-oriented and highly organized Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio. The role involves processing patient billing, maintaining accurate patient records, and resolving billing-related inquiries. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Accurate processing of patient billing and customer credit applications. Maintenance of precise customer credit records. Effective resolution of patient billing inquiries. Monitoring patient accounts and taking appropriate action. Demonstrating a strong understanding of medical billing and collection practices. Utilizing advanced knowledge of insurance and reimbursement processes. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients and the public. Proficient use of computers and Microsoft Office software, particularly Word and Excel. Being open to working in an office environment. Carrying out other duties as assigned or directed. Requirements Proficiency in Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE), and EHR SYSTEM Experience with Epaces software Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) operations Ability to manage Appeals processes Familiarity with Benefit Functions Competence in Billing Functions Experience in Claim Administration A strong understanding of medical billing and coding procedures Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team High degree of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound judgment calls under pressure.
