Description We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Patient Service Representative for ongoing opportunities. In this role, you will act as the first contact for patients, assisting them with scheduling appointments, registration, billing inquiries, and other general office tasks. The ideal candidate will have a passion for healthcare, a knack for customer service, and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:
Greet and check-in patients in a friendly manner.
Schedule patient appointments and maintain accurate patient records.
Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other payments from patients.
Answer and manage incoming calls; respond and follow-up on inquiries.
Conduct patient pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care.
Assist new patients with patient registration forms.
Communicate with insurance companies to verify benefit eligibility.
Resolve patient issues, handle patient inquiries, and manage patient complaints.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
One year of customer service experience ideally in a healthcare setting.
Proficiency with medical software, Word, Excel, and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare billing.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
