Engineering Supervisor is accountable for ensuring maximum cost effectiveness and the reliability of manufacturing processes and workflow. Is responsible for guiding the Manufacturing Engineering team to deliver business objectives and support the Win Strategy environment.This position has supervisory responsibility; this position also mentors entry-level Manufacturing Engineers and new employees.Essential Functions: Evaluates and develops innovative solutions to complex engineering and manufacturing production problems through identification and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes including conducting process analysis, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials, conferring with suppliers. Evaluates capital equipment investments, prepare cost justifications, and develop project implementation plans. Design and prepare concept drawings and implement new equipment, prototypes or modifications to existing equipment. Manage the overall implementation of capital equipment projects. Participates design review and implementation of “design for manufacture and assembly” plans; investigates and prepares manufacturing methods for new products and prototypes. Facilitates advancements in CNC programming, equipment technology, tool redesign, change in material specification, process methods, routings, etc. Analyze and implement improvements in manufacturing efficiency though product flow, capacity utilization, work force utilization, layout of equipment, and workspace designs for maximum efficiency. Assure process control and reliability for broad areas of manufacturing. Refines and enhances products and process by applying continuous improvements and key lean manufacturing/production principles and techniques to critical or high-impact areas of production. May lead special projects for a variety of products and processes. Assure product and process quality by design testing methods, testing finished product and process capabilities, and establishing standards to confirm and validate manufacturing process requirements. Determines root cause of failures using statistical methods (e.g., design of experiment, statistical process control) that may result in changes in design, tolerances, or processing methods.Job Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in related Engineering or Technology field required 7-10 years of related experience required Knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials Demonstrated project management skillset Must be able to communicate at all levels of the organization and with suppliersParker Hannifin is a Fortune 250 global leader in motion and control technologies.
