Bud Matthews Services - We are a well established residential remodeling / repair company based in the greater Chapel Hill area. We are looking for a working Rough in and finishing Lead Carpenter who will be responsible for ensuring all projects are completed in a timely manner, within or under the estimated budget and to the Client's satisfaction.
Lead Carpenter should possess knowledge and ability to perform the following skills:
Framing
Tile work
Installation of trim
Insulation
Rot repair
Drywall installation & repair
Cabinetry installation & repair
Installation of doors & Windows
Floor installation & repair
Deck building & Repair
Stair building & Repair
Painting
Additional Responsibilities:
Make sure plans are followed and the right materials are being used
Maintain a high standard of quality workmanship
Bring to the attention of department manager any discrepancies of work conditions or changes
Maintain frequent communication with the customer in person, by phone or in writing
Write work orders, change orders and record daily activities for each job
Supervise, lead and mentor other crew members
Maintain clean and organized job site
Requirements:
5 years' minimum experience
Punctual and professional
Standard tools of the trades
Valid driver's license
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.51 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
