We are seeking a part time technician to service and install water/electric/gas automated metering systems in the Raleigh Durham area and possibly other parts of NC (paid travel expense). We will train for this industry specific position. Most of the work is on water metering systems for apartment communities. Qualified candidates are handy man types or individuals with mechanical / technical backgrounds and or skills. We do "not" work with live electricity.
This is a contractor position. We are hiring for part time but this could easily grow into full time if the candidate desires. The ideal candidate will have other contract work or be satisfied with part time to start. (20-40 hours per week) Starting pay for this position is $22.50 per hour for service and $35-50 per hour on installation work. There is a mix of install and service work. Travel expenses paid at $25 per hour for drive time. We are looking for someone that communicates well, is easy to get in touch with through cell phone and email, and of course professional. Technicians regularly communicate with apartment personnel and management as well as entering apartments to service the equipment, so you will need to have a clean neat appearance. A background check is also required. We will give hands on training for 2-3 days. Training pays $15 per hour.
