JOB DESCRIPTION
We are hiring for a full-time kitchen and market team member. Your time will be split between kitchen prep (2 days), selling at farmers' markets (2 half days) and miscellaneous support including deliveries and inventory. Help make and distribute our popular soups in central NC.
AVAILABILITY
Monday & Thursday, 8am-5pm
Tuesdays, 11am-7pm
Saturdays, 7am-3pm
COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Now in our 14th year, Short Winter Soups makes inspired, high-integrity soups for every season. We sell our soups direct to consumers in central NC. Our small team of 5 churns out 60 gallons of soup per week, all made entirely by hand at our kitchen facility in Hillsborough.
This is a physically demanding position that requires being able to:
- Lift and move 50 pounds
- Stand for extended periods of time
- Repeat the same physical movements and repetitive tasks with precision
- Work outside all types of weather
YOU ARE:

IDEALLY, YOU HAVE:
- Experience with farming, food prep and dish washing, and/or selling at farmers’ markets
- A love of vegetarian food
