Melina’s Fresh Pasta is seeking outgoing, friendly, reliable and detail-oriented people to join our team.
Melina’s Fresh Pasta is the only fresh pasta shop in the Triangle – our 13th year in 2023. We make ravioli, cut pasta, gnocchi, sauces, baked meals and more. Winner of Best Overall Made in NC product and Best of Durham 2022.
These are entrepreneurial positions – being able to work independently, flexibility, willingness to learn and a good attitude are required. We are currently looking for staff to sell our pasta at farmer's markets on Saturday mornings from approximately 8am-1200pm (work hours are 630am- 130pm).
We can work with flexible schedules so contact us to talk more. More hours available during the week if needed but Saturday is our biggest need. Preference is for someone who is available the majority of Saturdays – Saturdays off are ok with notice. Markets are in Durham, Chapel Hill, Raleigh and Hillsborough - but pickup is in Durham.

Position Requirements
Weekend availability is required. Must be able to commit to a minimum of one early-morning weekend market shift weekly (days off with notice are ok). Opportunities to staff weekday shifts also available.
Availability to travel to/from markets and events, using both personal and company vehicles
Must be comfortable using technology (Square mobile app) to process transactions, handle money, and communicate with management on a time sensitive basis
Must be an enthusiastic and effective representative, comfortable interacting with the public over many hours and promoting our products and brand with a good intuition for salesmanship and customer service.
Willingness to participate in ongoing training and education
Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and an ability to connect and actively listen to people and their stories.
Must be reliable, punctual, detail-oriented, and possess the ability to take direction effectively while working toward goals independently.
A car is required, you will need to be able to fit coolers of pasta and supplies. A clean driving record is required.
Description:
1. Load coolers with pasta, load vehicle with supplies and market site
2. Set up stand tent, table, display signs, etc.
3. Independently operate stand in accordance with company Policies & Procedures.
4. Assist and collect money from customers and educate customers on product and brand
5. Unload stand, return to shop, restock unsold pasta in cooler and put away supplies
7. Complete inventory sheet and count money
8. Arrive to pasta shop 90-120 minutes prior to start of market to load
