In this role, you will assist the chefs by preparing ingredients, maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen, and performing simpler cooking functions, as assigned and according to the current menu. Key duties will include:
Daily setup of workstation with required mise en place, tools, equipment, and supplies and ensuring their cleanliness and proper working condition.
Receive provision deliveries, verify items against invoice, check for quality, and communicate any inventory or quality issues to chefs.
Complete daily prep list and ensure all items are prepared properly and placed in designated areas.
Move items to/from storeroom and stock where needed.
Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned area.
Qualifications Needed
Preferred 2 years of professional kitchen/cooking experience. Working proficiency with knives, knife skills and relevant kitchen equipment. Applicable knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation procedures. Professional appearance and demeanor are a must. Maintaining a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance, aligned with specific brand standards, is required.
