Job Skills / RequirementsSunstates Security is hiring a Payroll Specialist for our corporate headquarters located in Raleigh, NC. The role of the Payroll Specialist is to help us ensure our payroll system is efficient, accurate, and ready to handle the company’s expected growth. To accommodate our West Coast operations, this position will have the expected work hours of 10 AM - 7 PM - Monday - Friday and will be based out of our corporate office in Raleigh. In addition to a competitive annual salary of $60,000 - this position is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus, full medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage, 401k plan with company match, generous PTO allowance and more!ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of electronic timekeeping system (TeamTime).

Process Final Pay for terminated employees and assist with onboarding new employees.

Conduct daily audits of timekeeping records to ensure adherence to state pay laws, lunch break regulations, and rest break policies.

Utilize Microsoft Office and ERP System (WinTeam) to identify trends. Coordinate with internal departments to ensure compliance with time clock policies.

Process and Pay Meal and Rest Premiums as needed.

Work with field managers to implement improvement initiatives.

Examine timekeeping records daily for accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across our footprint with a primary focus on CA, OR and WA.

Host weekly virtual meetings to encourage continuous improvement and include suggestions for long-term enhancements to our timekeeping process.

Identify areas of concern and escalate to management, liaising with our investigations team.

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Finance or Accounting and/or at least five years’ experience in payroll processing.

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of payroll, garnishments and benefits distribution.
