As a Senior Information Technology Specialist supporting an Information Technology Division staff in Raleigh, NC, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on Senior Information Technology Specialist joining our team to carry and respond to off-hour emergencies and provide system support to the activities necessary for maintaining stability and reconfiguring the system where necessary in order to obtain maximum performance.HOW A SENIOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Assist in the transition of computer infrastructure to an IT group

Monitor/maintain the network for law enforcement activity for over 200 sites, which includes but is not limited to telecommunications frame-relay, hubs, routers, wiring, UPS and switches.

Monitor/maintain IT networks for law enforcement activity supporting 4,000 users located at over 200 sites. There are clusters centers located at the largest 22 sites and login servers located at an additional 29 sites.

Provide technical support to all related employees.

Provide GPO updates to licensing server, support for existing build shares, and Service Account support

License usage reporting for Exchange servers in O365/M365

MFA future support as integrated into a central domain

Perform server and client software integration, which includes new products as well as frequent software fixes and enhancements. All software needs to be tested and integrated in a lab environment prior to deploying to the production environment.

Perform account creation and granting of access permissions

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:Education :

Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University is preferred, but not required

Required Experience :

Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional work experience

Required Skills & Abilities:

Demonstrated experience providing technical support

Demonstrated experience with Exchange servers in O365/M365

Demonstrated experience with Microsoft multi-factor authentication (MFA) support

Demonstrated ability to monitor and maintain firewalls

Demonstrated ability with PAM server activation

Proficient in monitoring/maintaining hardware/software and telecommunications lines for NCIC, NLETS, and other external access

Security Clearance Level :

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting

This position has a U.S. residency requirement. The security clearance process requires the selected candidate to have resided in the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for the last five years as follows: U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 6 months consecutively in the last 3 years (unless they meet certain exceptions). Non-U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 90 days consecutively in the last 3 years.
