Description Are you currently looking for a new position? A company in the area has partnered with Robert Half to find an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk. Based out of the Raleigh, North Carolina area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract opening. In this influential department, there is a possibility for further career growth and advancement. The Accounts Payable Clerk matches and batches code invoices, resolves A/P issues, processes expense reports, updates and reconciles sub-ledger to G/L, and processes checks.Responsibilities
Carry out additional tasks as assigned
Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail
Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks
Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners
Provide internal and external audit assistance as required
Accomplish full-cycle A/P
Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies
Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling
Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents
Requirements
Detailed and have the ability work independently
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
Proficiency in Invoice Processing
Experience with QuickBooks
Knowledge of data entry
Microsoft Excel experience
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
