Summary About the Position: This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W0V2AA US ARMY SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND. Responsibilities Provides the Commanding General and his/her staff with current intelligence in support of current and crisis operations through active participation in the Military Decision-Making Process. Identifies requirements, organizes and distributes authorized personnel resources. Ensures development of organization work plans, short and long-range schedules, priorities, work assignments and position structures to effectively, efficiently, and economically carry out the missions. Establishes performance standards; resolves complaints and exercises disciplinary actions within the organization. Responsible for the direction, management and oversight of counterintelligence, physical security, information security, personnel security, special security and special access programs in support of the Command's force and mission protection. Develops and justifies budgets, manpower, organizational structure, facilities and supplies. Participates in conferences as the Command's intelligence spokesperson with Combatant Commands, the Intelligence Community, other governmental agencies and relevant foreign partners. TF 40-25 is a irregular warfare-focused TF supporting theater special operations commands, combatant commands, and interagency partners. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) providing advice on intelligence and security matters to senior officials; (2) performing staff management duties, to include, personnel, fiscal, automation, contract, and logistical resourcing actions; And (3) coordinating with key staff on projects that require the integration of various resources and efforts into a single plan or project. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS/GG 13). Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data. All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management. Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information.
