Description We are in search of a Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in the healthcare industry. Our location is in Fayetteville, North Carolina, United States. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity and involves providing support in a hospital and social assistance setting.Responsibilities: Accurately process medical billing for customers Efficiently handle customer inquiries related to billing Ensure the maintenance of precise records of customer credit Monitor the status of customer accounts regularly Take necessary actions based on the monitoring of customer accounts Provide support in a local medical facility context Utilize medical billing skills in executing job functions Resolve any issues related to medical billing promptly and effectively.Requirements Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent; higher degree in a related field is advantageous. Proven experience in Medical Billing, preferably within a healthcare or hospital setting. Comprehensive understanding of medical terminology and code. Proficiency in using billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems. Familiarity with insurance policies and procedures, particularly in relation to medical coverage. Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all billing processes. Strong numerical and analytical skills to accurately calculate patient charges. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality, adhering to HIPAA regulations at all times. Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to continuously update knowledge of billing regulations and insurance policies. Problem-solving skills to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes.
