This individual will plan, implement, and coordinate safety programs to assigned large-scale construction projects to ensure a high level of safety performance is attained. This individual will contribute to the company’s growth and profitability while building strong relationships with both the internal teams and external customers.What you’ll ExperienceAs a Safety Specialist II, you will:
Assist location Project Managers, Project Engineers and Field Supervision with all safety related tasks
Conduct safety training as needed
Ensure adherence to federal, state, company, and customer safety policies and procedures on project
Conduct field safety audits
Train and educate location management and workers on safety responsibilities, behaviors, and accident prevention techniques
Assist in conducting incident investigations
Work with local leadership and field personnel to identify potential hazards and controls
Work with other contractors and the client to address safety concerns
Assist in preparing and conducting weekly safety toolbox talks
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Safety or equivalent years of experience in construction safety
Certification preferred: OSHA 500
Minimum of 5 years of safety experience in a construction, industrial or manufacturing environment. Pharmaceutical experience is a plus.
Working with the Best in the IndustryThis highly visible position is part of the Safety department and reports to the Corporate EH&S Director. You will have frequent interaction with the Construction department and regular interaction with the Executive and Operations Leadership Teams, as well as, vendors and all levels of internal and field staff.Our Comprehensive Benefits Package Includes
