- Develop high level and/or detailed wireframes, storyboards , mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design concepts
- Drive designs through the Agile development process to ensure that the design vision is fully executed to meet customer needs
- Compare and contrast various design solutions, taking technical and resource constraints into account
- Coach BI developers through reviews and feedback. Support their UI/UX growth
- Ability to quickly iterate, revise the designs based on frequent reviews
- Define and document standards for report format, visualizations, and user-experience function. Standards to apply across web, mobile, embedded, and emailed reports
- Consults with teams supporting the business teams to identify best reporting & visualization tools to meet requirements
- Review and approve new reports, dashboards, and visualizations before they are promoted to production, to ensure standards
- Collaborate with analysts and report developers during the design and development stages to strategize approaches to build new reports and associated visualizations
- Collaborate with team members working to improve the user experience of legacy/existing reports, provide expert guidance on conveying data through visualizations and usability/readability advice
- Perform other duties as requested
- Ability to design and manipulate visualizations using D3.js library and associated technologies
- Prior experience creating complex report visualizations, such as Sankey, Journey, or InfographicsSupplied portfolio of visualizations preferred
- Proven ability to quickly grasp business requirements and translate them into optimized solution blueprints
- Familiarity with BI tools like MicroStrategy, Tableau highly preferred Strong problem solving, collaboration and communication skills Passion for leveraging data to improve business outcomes
