Tenant Accounting Analyst

Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Accounting Analyst in the Real Estate & Property industry, based in CHARLOTTE, North Carolina. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing tenant accounts, collecting payments, processing changes in rent, CAM, real estate tax, and other charges, and maintaining a healthy relationship between landlords and tenants.Responsibilities: Act as an internal liaison with leasing, property management, regional counsel and our third-party lease administration team. Conduct a thorough review of tenant CAM & real estate tax billings. Carry out periodic lease notes abstraction and manage tenant vacancies. Support internal requests for detailed lease interpretation and any supporting calculations. Review the monthly rent roll, specifically monitoring tenants awaiting rent commencement. Resolve all disputed charges, including CAM, real estate tax, base rent, utility and other charges. Research and apply unapplied cash balances and set up and monitor payment plans. Handle all tenant discussions and communications, ensuring a productive relationship between landlords and tenants. Identify and process write-offs and tenants for legal collections (with outside attorneys). Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines Strong attention to detail and accuracy Knowledge of real estate industry regulations and guidelines Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
