- Represent the GBAMT Architecture & Strategy team across regional and global technology, operations. and business partners
- Support the creation and maintenance of technology blueprints and roadmaps showing the evolution of systems from current to target state which meet strategic business, financial and technology objectives through documentation of systems, architectures, process flows and value-chains
- Design and drive comprehensive solutions that meet business requirements in support of a given portfolio
- Participate in architecture consulting and advisory engagements to assist in making architectural decisions, and promote adherence of designs to bank policies and standards, architectural principles and guidelines
- Produce conceptual and logical architectures to meet strategic business, financial and technology objectives through documentation of strategy, systems, architectures, process flows and value-chains
- Ensure alignment of initiatives against documented strategy
- Drive technology strategy across multiple teams ensuring simplification and consolidation where possible
- Drive compliance to the architecture governance processes and with all relevant laws and regulations
- Leverage technical expertise through continuous mining of ideas, products and best practices
- Support vendor selection activities including recommendations of when to make the appropriate build vs. buy decisions
- Manage tradeoffs between speed to market, quality and financial impact
- BSc-level degree in computer science or equivalent experience in industry
- Extensive experience with enterprise-level technology strategy in an architecture organization
- 10+ years in information technology with 4+ years of financial services experience in banking or payment functions
- Knowledge of Global Transaction Services and/or Commercial Payments Processing
- Strong proactive leadership capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels of management
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Providing strategic direction based on balanced risk, financial, process and resource factors
- Interpreting business needs and applying innovative technology solutions
- Governance and oversight processes for managing alignment of change to strategic goals
- Work effectively in a matrix organization with teams of architects, developers and business partners with minimal supervision
- Resolve and influence the positive outcome of conflicting objectives and priorities
- Broad based IT knowledge and experience (Hardware, Financial Software, Middleware, Databases)
- Application development knowledge and experience
- Certification or extensive experience in industry best practices in architectural methodologies and standards (e.g. TOGAF, CMM, Zachman, etc.)
