Description We are currently looking for a seasoned Contract Payroll Specialist to join our team for a specific duration. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience managing payroll processes, and should be well-acquainted with Workday software. This is a great opportunity to integrate your proficiency in payroll management with your technical skills in Workday software, providing critical support to our finance department.Key Responsibilities:
Manage and operate the payroll function using Workday software.
Provide accurate and timely payroll processing.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding payroll.
Assist with the implementation of new payroll and benefits systems.
Resolve payroll discrepancies and irregularities.
Perform audit trails and review payrolled data.
Liaise effectively with other departments and external agencies.
Provide comprehensive administrative support, as needed.
Requirements
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in payroll processing.
Working knowledge of Workday software is highly required.
Exceptional attention to detail, with strong analytical skills.
Excellent understanding of multi-state payroll and taxes.
Expertise in generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
