Description Robert Half has partnered with a successful Real Estate - Other firm in finding an experienced Accounts Receivable (A/R) professional to join their growing team. To succeed in this role, you will enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Charlotte, North Carolina area.Responsibilities

Provide information, as requested to the sales/marketing department, shippers, customers, and other stakeholders

Represent and exude the values, culture, and mission of the organization

Assist in setting up payment plans; contact clients to help resolve payment issues

Verify documents and codes

Carry out an assortment of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks

Square bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in diverse ledgers

Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, including skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment

Process payments and compile segments of annual reports and monthly closings in compliance with GAAP Requirements - Command of Microsoft Excel

Cash posting experience

Collecting Payments experience

Proven knowledge of B2B collections

Cash applications experience

Accounts Receivable (AR) experience

2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

Proven analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field

Efficient in ERP systems

Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
