Biltmore Village Inn is pleased to be hiring a Bed & Breakfast Assistant for the 2024 season! This position is perfect for a candidate that loves to make others happy and thrives in an environment where you will be multitasking from start to finish. We need someone to assist with breakfast service, housekeeping, guest check-in, concierge, and hosting an afternoon social. On occasion, we will also need assistance with special events. This position is Friday 10am-6pm, Saturday 8am-6pm, and Sunday 8am-6pm. You will be the eyes and ears for the General Manager and Head Innkeeper on Saturday and Sunday when they are off.
Below is a detailed job description that describes the duties and responsibilities as the Bed & Breakfast Assistant.
Duties & Responsibilities:
● Ensure guests have a pleasurable experience from check in to check out
● Serve breakfast & host afternoon social
● Provide a personal check-in and assist with luggage as needed
● Be the friendly face for guests (concierge)
● Answer phones and make new reservations as needed
● Housekeeping duties to include cleaning guest rooms and common areas from top to
bottom (we have a head housekeeper but need additional assistance with this)
● Laundry + folding + ironing
● Making Innkeeper on duty aware of any room issues right away
● Restock fire pit, keeping outdoor furniture clean, watering plants as needed or other various Innsitter tasks when housekeeping duties are complete
● Helping with events to include set up, breakdown, and serving
Bed & Breakfast Assistant Benefits Package:
● Benefits include:
○ Pay of $22.50 / hour (living wage certified)
○ Room gratuity (varies and not guaranteed)
○ One week paid vacation (beginning after 6 months of employment, this is not redeemable
for cash out if employee is terminated or resigns)
○ 5 sick days per year (these do not roll over and can not be cashed out)
○ Shift meal
