Description Our client is seeking a Medical Administrator. The successful candidate will be working in a clinic and will answer, screen, and direct telephone calls and messages, process internal and external mail, as well as distributing correspondence, among other duties. This is a fantastic contract opportunity at a well-known organization supporting special needs.What you get to do every day:

Receive and direct phone calls, mail and email messages for general clinic inquiries

Answer basic questions regarding clinic services, procedures, and payment options for patients

Create and manage all contact information for the clinic

Create and maintain electronic files (requires extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel

Familiar with electronic medical records (EMR); Compulink Advantage Software

Scanning/filing documentation in EMR

Proo and email copies of patient reports

Schedule and confirm all appointments for patients and clinic staff

Create, compile, and distribute information to patients pertaining to their appointment and verify medical insurance eligibility

Work with program liaisons; collecting correspondence, scanning, and filing in EMR

Billing: Posting to ledger; superbills for our community patients

Request/file (EMR) insurance referrals for our community patients

Track and record completed reports/superbills

Greet patients when they arrive.

Maintain inventory and order all supplies, equipment for clinic and staff offices.

Adhere to all Health and Information Privacy Protection Act (HPPA) guidelines and requirements

Requirements

Medical office experience preferred

Basic Medical Terminology

Customer service

Patient scheduling/Calendar management

Answering inbound calls

Experience using EMRs (Electronic Medical Records)
